      Gold filled vs gold plated?

Gold plating is a very thin layer of solid gold applied to a brass base or other metal/alloy thru a electro plating process. The plating does not compose any measurable proportion of the products total weight. Gold plating will generally wear off rather quickly.

      Small Tips for supplies
      - Care as the same manner as other precious jewelry items.
      - Clean regularly using a little bit of warm water, and a soft cloth to dry and shine after.
      - Many chemicals actually are abrasive or corrosive and can cause some damage or color alteration
      - Heavy wear and rough conditions (extreme weather, cosmetic, alcoholic perfumes, salt water, chlorine, detergents, cleaning agents...) will of course impact on their looks
